How do I book a service?
The first step is to contact me via phone, or the contact page so we can arrange a complementary consultation.
So you can meet me in person and I can meet you and be introduced to your furry family member
You can tell me all about their preferences such as the best place to rub, favorite treat etc.
I will bring a copy of the service agreement for us to complete together.
This will require the following information:
Personal contact information
Emergency contact details
Veterinarian name address and contact number
Pets information including medical history, dietary requirements, allergies etc.
A key to your home
The names /car details of anyone else who may be entering your home whilst we are caring for your pet.

do I have to book a meet & greet every time I book?
The simple answer is no once you're registered as a client for a particular service rebooking is as simple as booking through our online client portal or making a call. It is important that we do have a meet and greet for any new woofers that join your family.
Or if you choose a different service (say you're a dog walking client wanting pet sitting then we will need to meet to complete the paperwork etc.

What happens if i'm delayed from returning home from a trip?
Don't panic! Whilst I ask that my pet sitting clients contact me when they return home I understand things can go wrong. So although I would appreciate a call / text from you to inform me of any delays if I don't hear from you then I will attempt to contact you. If I don't receive any reply I will continue to provide care (times may change due to my availability) for your pet until you return. This care will be charged at the normal rate for the service provided.
what is the payment process ?
Full payment is due on the last day of service for pet sitting. Dog walking is invoiced once a month.
We send all our clients an itemized invoice via email or we can issue a printed copy if you prefer.
I accept the following payments : Debit/credit card via our online client portal, or you can pay with cash or check made payable to Happy 4 Paws LLC.

I don't have a spare key. do you need to collect one on the complementary visit?
No I can collect a key prior to your departure.
i'm worried about giving you keys to my home, how are they stored
You key will be stored in a locked cabinet , it will be color coded and have no reference to your home address
do you only care for cats and dogs, we have fish, small furries
Great question! I'm happy to take care of birds, fish and small furries at the same rate. I do have a spider / snake phobia so no exotic pets please.
Would you visit my cat every other day?
I'm afraid not our policy is Cats need a minimum of one visit a day. Dogs at least 2 visits a day.
can I book you just to care for the dog, the cat won't need any care
I'm sorry happy 4 pets policy is if there's an animal in the house then it needs to be cared for when we are providing pet sitting. Things to consider are what would happen if the cat knocked over its water, was sick in it's food or got injured while you were away. I couldn't ignore these needs and I wouldn't expect another pet sitter / animal lover to do so either.
do you walk more than one dog at a time?
I don't do group walks with multiple clients pets. So you can rest assured that your furry family members will have my undivided care and attention. If you have more than one dog in the household i'm happy to walk them together providing it's safe to do so.
What happens if my pet is sick or injured while we are away?
I ask all clients to complete a vet contact / permission form as part of our onboarding system. So in the unlikely event your furbaby requires urgent medical care I will attempt to contact you for further instruction. If I am unsuccessful and I believe your pet is at risk or in distress I will contact your vet and transport your pet to the vet office so it can get the required medical care.
will you give my pet it's medication is there an extra charge?
Yes I will happily give your pet its prescribed medication. I don't charge any supplement for meds as I believe it should be part of the care package.
Do you charge extra for additional pets?
No you pay for the time it takes to provide the care not the number of pets in the household.
At the complementary consultation we will discuss the needs of each pet in the care plans and the time it will take to provide that care.

What happens if there is a natural disaster or emergency?
It is essential you provide us with your emergency contact information.
Your emergency contact must have a key to your home in the event we cannot visit your home due to flooding / closed roads / evacuations, etc. In the event of a natural disaster we will do our best to procure your pets and secure your home. we will send out an e-mail and text clients to inform them they need to get in touch with their emergency contacts to make preparations if necessary.
